In this episode we talk about some changes that I am going to make to the MSC Giz Cast. First though we talk a bit about the Alpha 4 release of Hardy Heron. There have been a few changes implemented, but the ones that caught my eye were 2 changes to default programs.
First they are changing the default bit torrent client from Gnome Bit Torrent to Transmission. Secondly they are changing the CD/DVD burning program from Serpentine to Brasero. Check out some screen shots at the bottom of this post.
Due to recent e-mails that I have received about the Podcast I have decided to make a few changes. First off I am going to try and make the episodes a bit shorter and talk more about specific programs instead of generally talking about a group of programs like music players. As an example I would have a 2 or 3 part episode and in each episode I would pick just one music player and talk only about it.
I am also going to start posting more pictures in my show notes about topics that we have discussed.
I have also been getting request for more videos, so I will try to make more how to videos on certain Ubuntu programs.
